As you receive goodness from others, pass it on.

It's about that time again.... girls night :)  Liz and I stopped at Starbucks on our way to Seattle and got ourselves a Cranberry Bliss Bar.... oh my delicious word.  I forgot how good those were!  They were selling a box of them for about $13.  I told Liz I would make her some instead.  Found a recipe that looked like it would compare and boy oh boy did it!  Made it for out girls pottery night since Liz was going to be there.

I should have made them earlier that day so I wasn't as crunched for time.  I could have let them set up more so the cuts would have been crisper.  Didn't change the taste though.... they were ohhhhhh soooooo delicious.

Jenni, Shanon and Hailey.... didn't get a picture of the other ladies... sorry girls!  I was distracted by all the fun.  Speaking of distracted.... check out my ornament below... haha...
005
I was having so much fun with my ladies I wasn't paying attention each time I was drawing the snowman on it.  Anything you draw in marker will burn off when it gets fired so it won't show up.  I had redrawn it so many times I couldn't see which one was which anymore! hah. Finally I decided to go a different route.

I made one for each of the kiddo's.  One of our little family traditions is we get a new family ornament each year or we each do an individual one.  I love having all my ornaments from my childhood.  Hope my kiddos will love having theirs when they are all grown up :)

Thanks for the fun night ladies! Until next time... :)

Ohhhhh look at all that yummy upholstery grade fabric!  Isn't it pretty?!  I get a wee bit excited about fabric.. don't you?  I found a lot of these on a killer sale at my oh so favorite place to go...
002
Purse #1!  It was purchased from my by my mom for her BFF for Christmas.  Fun knowing who I am making a purse for... love picking fabric that reminds me of them.

Purse #2!  My BFF in B-town was sporting the purse I made her and one of her friends wanted to purchase one.  She had a limited budget so I cut some corner's and kept her cost down a bit.  Really liked how it turned out though!! :)

Purse #3! Made for Aaron's Aunt.  We draw names... which I love!  So much nicer being able to put some thought and $$ into one gift... then give lots of little things people tend to not want or use. Yay! Loved being there when she opened it.  There was lots of squealing, a jump in the air and many thank yous!  Makes every stitch worth it.

Purse #4!  This purse was lots of fun making.  It was made for one of my sister in law's birthday!  She is not afraid of color and when I saw these fabrics I thought they screamed her name.  Literally. ;) She squealed when she opened it.  Good sign of approval! Yay!

Purse #5! The hubby bought a truck... part of the truck deal was a purse for the wifey.  Which is funny, right?  I definitely splurged on her fabric but I LOVE the final result.  She absolutely loved it... another job complete! wooo!

Purse #6! I made my mom a purse for her birthday (April) last year.  It was one of my first purses and they have come a long way since then.  She used it all the time and it was a wee bit worn.  She would always make comments about how she really liked the black and white ones. ;) point taken.. Here you go mama.  She loved!  I loved... seriously had a hard time giving this one up.  Wanted to keep it for myself!

Purse #7! Yes, it's little... but it still counts as a purse dang it!  Goes with the first black and white purse above that was included in the truck deal.  Big enough to hold a check book, keys, maybe some lipstick or  chapstick (in case your lips hurt really bad).  ;) All around a good thing to have in your larger purse or carry around as a clutch.

The mama wanted to buy three more purses from me.  I found this pattern and thought it would be perfect. Change things up a little bit.  I thought these purses would be easier to make than the purses above.  Ummmmm no.  These ones are probably more time consuming. So many pieces to cut and sew together.

Purse#8!  Purchased by my mama for a christmas present.

Has a hidden pocket on the back! :)

Purse #9! Third purse the mama purchased from me for christmas presents.

Purse #11! My last purse! yay! Made this purse for my mother in law for Christmas.  She's going on a trip for most of January and I thought this was be the perfect purse for her to carry around all the little things while exploring.  Love how it turned out!

Did I mention I had 9 days to sew and complete all 11 purses... ya. I was tired.
