She crafty.... the reason why the blog was quiet and it's catch up time!

001
OK... so sometimes when I see something... I absolutely fall in love with the picture of what it can be in my head and I keep it for myself... that is what this necklace turned into.... and it's all mine! The locket holds 4 of my favorite pictures right now (favorite change, of course).

002
Frames I painted for the MIL and Gma :) It's one of my Gma's favorite sayings.... and mine ;)

003
Frame I painted for my dad and put together with a family picture.

004
Frame I put together for SIL and BIL... I hope their reactions on their face isn't what they thought of the gift... hehe. ;)
005
Frame I put together for my bro after he competed in nationals in Bend, OR.

Banana bread for the neighbors... can't help but keep a loaf for myself.... ohhhh it was yummy!

Ended up making three of these... two with snowmen and one with the moose... turned out super cute!

016
One guess who the above gift is for :) Got the idea from a blog I ran across... can't remember where otherwise I would link it.
P.S. He loved it and it made him tear up... yes, I married a guy that can own up to a few tears now and then. I. Love. It. !
017
I was telling Aaron about a friends quilt and how amazing I thought it was... (months and months ago) he said he thought it was be really cool if I made him a quilt one day. Well, alrighty then. I have never made a quilt.... that's my disclaimer. ;)
I worked on it during the days while Aaron was at work and would hide everything each night before he came home. It's a queen size quilt and I wasn't able to finish it. I am quite proud of myself that I got as far as I did with only working on it the week before Christmas along with taking car of kiddos and doing other gifts.
I still have a lot of work to do on it... but I WILL finish it and it's going to be amazing!
018
019
8 different necklaces I made for 6 people and two dolls.... I found when I put them together it spelled my name!!! Maybe I should have kept them for myself and worn them all at once.... this was before I finished them.
020
021
I ended up making 6 scarfs for adults and 2 doll size (not bad for learning to knit in November)... I only photographed two of them... had the other ones wrapped before I remembered I should have taken a photo.
022
023
024
Izzie's scarf and necklace I surprised her with... she loved!
025
First hat I've ever made for Ms. Izzie-bizzie! She kept telling me what an amazing job I did! Well thanks sweetie!
026
Izzie was snooping under the tree at all the presents and came up to me with a smirk on her face and said..
"Umm, mom! There is not one present on the tree for Kit. (her doll) She is going to be soooo sad on Christmas day!!"
Crap.
Haha.
My family opens PJ's every Christmas eve and wears them to bed. I thought it would be neat if Kit had her own pair!
027
Not to shabby for not having a pattern.... and as if that wasn't cute enough... I made little booties to go with it.
028

029

030
The rest of Kits presents.... a scarf and necklace that match Izzie's.
031
Necklace for a friend :)

035
036

This is just the stuff I remembered to take pictures of.... I would get so carried away and excited with the present for the person I found myself wrapping it before I remembered to get a pic.  Oh well.... so this is why the blog was neglected and I'm playing catch up :)

Open your heart to all the love around you.  In it you will find peace

Mom - holy cow! I'd say you're crafty!! and I thought I was doing well to get my 3 stockings made. :)

Aaron - Goodness me! I witnessed you creating all of these wonderful things, but I didn't really put it all together. This is quite the accomplishment my love... I absolutely love my quilt and can't wait to snuggie up with you and the finished product! I heart you!!!

Bakerella, the goddess of all things cake pops put a post up not to long ago featuring sesame street cake pops! As soon as I saw them I knew I had to try it out for Eman's birthday party.

Not to shabby.... It's hard for me to look at the pictures of them though - the perfectionist part of me see's all the things I could do next time. Although with the amount of work that goes into these.... I can't imagine making them anytime soon!

Cowgirl up!

Friend called me telling me that she wanted to make some cowgirl cake pops for her friend's birthday.... this got me thinking. There had to be some sort of candy mold out there that was a cowboy hat... that I could pour chocolate in and stick on stop of it!

The quest began... found one on-line... so at least I knew existed... now I called every craft/cake supply story in the Spokane area and I finally found it!!
w00t.

001

The girl who we made them for loves pink and has red hair :)

002

This one didn't make it into the final batch because it's umm.. face fell off!

I planned on knitting this weekend with Izzie so I brought her birthday present that she got from her BFF in Spokane the year before. It's a knitting machine! and umm.... yeah... I'm not a fan of it. But we had fun figuring it out and making a new hat for her doll Kit!

Cake pops... cake pops... more cake pops... oh cake pops... (look away Emi)

Friend Rebekah came over today with her beautiful babe Ashlyn so I could show her the tricks of making cake pops! We had just finished making the chocolate cake into balls when Ashlyn reached her ever so cute long arms to the edge of the pan and snagged one when we weren't looking!  oops.

0001

001

005

Didn't Rebekah's turn out so stinkin' cute!? She made the top ones dunked in pink and the bottom ones dunked in white.

004

002

003

And as if that wasn't enough cake pops I started working on my own batch for some up coming birthday's and adventures!

006

Except no cake this time... these bad boys are chocolate brownies mixed with cream cheese frosting before they are dunked in warm yummy oooey gooey milk chocolate.

007

Items needed for these cake pops.... Got the idea (of course) from the ever so lovely and talented Bakerella!

008

009

My batch made over 60 balls of brownies.... and ummm after doing 30 or so turkey's (it's a lot of work!!) I couldn't bring myself t make anymore of them. We were having friends over for dinner that night so I decided to make the rest of the batch look like the picture below. Whew.

010

Happy sugar coma friends!

I could give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter.

Pumpkin cake pops up for auction! w00t.

I was asked by a friend if I would make some cake pops for the high school to auction off... forget what they were raising money for... anywho... YES! of course I will. Really good that she sent me a message a couple days before the auction reminding me! whew.

The auction was held a few days before Halloween.... pumpkins pop into my head. I researched and found what seemed to be a killer pumpkin spice cake recipe. Next time I'm on time crunch I will not be trying out a new recipe.

Didn't turn out exactly how i would have liked and at one point I thought about throwing it across the room... :) then the thought of cleaning that up and starting over quickly brought me back to reality.

001

002

Busted out the seriously rich recipe for cream cheese frosting... mmm. These are the moments I curse being lactose intolerant... on the flip side I saved myself a heaping of calories! ;)

003

004

005

Pumpkin spice cake... crumbled then mixed with cream cheese frosting. Dunked in chocolate and sprinkled with orange sugar.

006

One of them got stuck to the other and when we pulled them apart it pretty much destroyed it... oops. Guess that means Aaron gets one! ;) He thought they were delicious.  I mean, who doesn't think cake pops are delicious at 2:30am when you are delirious from lack of sleep and can't stop laughing from time to time.

007

Finished product :)
